"All learning is understanding Relationships" is a quote by George Washington Carver. I wanted to share this with you because I find it to be very true and think it is a valuable phrase for anyone who is an educator or who is becoming an educator. A good relationship between a teacher and student is very important. It is motivational and encouraging for the children. You don't learn from someone you don't like. This applies to anyone, at any age, throughout our entire lives. If someone I don't like is trying to teach me something, I know I am going to be reluctant to really listen to and process anything they say. This happens between students and teachers as well. If we don't have good relationships and the students do not believe that we are a team, they are not going to learn from us the way that they need to. I am going to do my best as an educator to make sure that my students know I am on their side. We are a team. I have their best interests at heart, and I want them to have the best education possible.
